Get to know Carlyn!
Carlyn was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. The oldest of 4 girls, Carlyn took full advantage of her constant access to backup dancers and began directing, choreographing, costuming, and starring in productions in her basement at a very young age. After her first summer in theatre camp, Carlyn fell in love with acting and hasn't looked back. She attended the public arts magnet school, Northwest School of the Arts, from 8th-12th grade.
Carlyn just graduated with her BFA in Musical Theatre major from Shenandoah Conservatory. She is currently working towards her Master of Science (M.S) in Performing Arts Leadership and Management through Shenandoah University (class of 2024) and she is moving to NYC in the fall!
A natural leader, Carlyn is outspoken, outgoing, and open-hearted. At Shenandoah, she worked as the Assistant to the Head of First Year Admissions and Student Head of Recruitment for Musical Theatre, she spent most of her time on campus giving tours, coordinating audition days and prospective visits, running various social media accounts, and doing lots of spreadsheets. The other highlight of her time at SU was serving as the President of Shenandoah's nationally recognized comedy improv troupe, The Loaf.
